It might seem strange to describe slate as a ‘contemporary flooring idea’ since it’s been used for hundreds of years. However, this material has a modern quality that never goes out of style.

Brazilian slate comes from a country that is one of the largest producers of this material. In fact, Brazil is the second-biggest producer of slate.

Produced from a type of mudstone, a sedimentary stone that has been compressed over millions of years, slate is of the strongest types of slate on the market. It’s also competitively priced and has a high resistance to damage.

It is a wonderful contemporary alternative to porcelain tiles or sandstone flagstones.
