Whether you need garden paving or a patio, Brazilian slate flagstones can be used to create all sorts of beautiful looks.

The first found use of slate in the UK was believed to be in Wales around 1300. The slate roofing industry peaked between 1897 and 1914; since then this material has been popular for a wide range of purposes, including in the garden.

Because it has an extremely low water absorption index, slate is highly resistant to frost damage. It will stay looking amazing during even the coldest, wettest winter.  Slate also performs well in regards to heat, so is a highly weatherproof material. That makes it also suitable for use round a hearth.

Despite being used as a building material since the Medieval age, slate has a timeless appeal and contemporary appearance.
