Our slate features a gently split, tactile riven surface rather than an aggressively rough or uneven texture. Because of the fine grain structure of high-quality Brazilian stone, it splits naturally along flat planes. The result is a surface that retains all the unique character and natural slip-resistance required for wet outdoor spaces, while remaining entirely comfortable underfoot and perfectly flat enough for patio furniture, tables, and planters to sit level.
Thanks to the incredibly dense nature of authentic Brazilian slate, outdoor maintenance is remarkably straightforward. Once installed and sealed with a high-quality impregnating exterior stone sealer, the slabs are fully protected against organic matter, leaf stains, and oils. For day-to-day cleaning, simply sweep away debris and wash down with clean water. For seasonal cleaning, a gentle pressure-wash using a pH-neutral exterior stone cleaner will keep the charcoal tones looking brand new.

I have dealt with a number of companies during the time that I built my house, but no company have the customer service level offered by Brazilistone. For starters I placed my order and asked them to hold for 2 weeks, they ended up holding it for 3 months and were always so polite every time I phoned to inform that there were further delays.
